Academia Cotopaxi was founded in the 1959-1960 school year, and since then has provided the very best education possible. Cotopaxi now stands as a leader in educational-excellence thanks to the visionary minds of Trustees and Directors who have lead the school over the years, the tremendous work of its current and past employees, the support of its parents and alumni community, and the commitment of students.
In 1983, Dr. Donald Fournier, long-time past director, wrote that, "... the founders of the school has always looked to the future. Those aims and desires of twenty years ago still exist today..." This continues to stand true for Cotopaxi today. We continue to be a school that consistently works toward excellence and to providing the very best education for every local and international student.
