Security Council Model United Nations Conference

Academia Cotopaxi held its first, soon to be annual, Security Council Model United Nations Conference. It was a huge success. Delegates debated the issue of Zimbabwe and worked at solving the problems that Zimbabwe faces as a member of the world community. Unfortunately, a crisis in East Asia drew the delegate’s attention away for a period of time as war was imminent between Japan, China, Russia and the United States. The students had a tremendous time role playing as diplomats and are looking forward to the conference next year when we hope to be able to expand and involve more schools from Quito and the surrounding area.
