Our students came back from Discover Ecuador on Friday with lots of stories to share. I would like to thank our HS parents for their support and our teachers who travelled with our students: Ms. Gallé, Mr. Iverson, Ms. Martinez, Mr. Fuentes, Ms. Mapstone, Ms. Laralde, Mr. Spielman, Mr. Watkins, Dr. Hoyle, Mr. Englehart, Ms. Stacy and Mr. Cadenas.
Our Seniors had a productive retreat here at Academia Cotopaxi. Thank you to Mr. Voeller who organised this week together with his team. The week ended ended with fun lockin with several activities, pizza, movie night, fire and smores.
Now that September is upon we have a very busy month ahead of us.
September 3rd is the deadline for the rough draft of the Extended Essay. This 4,000 word piece of academic writing is completed by our full IB Candidates and allows them to dive deep into a subject area and topic they are interested in. The Final Draft will be due on October 15th and our “Gallery Walk” celebration on the 29th of October. This is a busy time for our seniors and they will need to manage many deadlines for their IB courses as they start their Senior year.
It is going to be a very busy week for our students with college visits. As always, if your student wants to be formally invited, have them send Lysha Wasser an email at email@example.com stating his or her desire to have a formal invitation. You as parents are more than welcome to attend as well. Below you will find our visits for this week. If you would like to see the schedule for the entire month of September, please find it here.
