Parent Involvement

Board of Trustees

Academia Cotopaxi is governed by a nine-member Board of Trustees that provides strategic leadership and supports the school’s mission and long-term vision. To learn more about the role, responsibilities, and structure of the Board, please visit our Board of Trustees page.

Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) strengthens the partnership between families and the school by promoting school pride, community building, parent education, and ongoing support, all aligned with Academia Cotopaxi’s mission and strategic vision.

The PTA supports initiatives that enrich the educational experience, including:

  • Parent education workshops
  • Volunteer involvement in school events
  • School pride activities
  • Mini-grants for student and teacher passion projects connected to the school’s strategic direction

Through these efforts, the PTA plays an essential role in fostering a positive, constructive, and inclusive school culture.

How the PTA Supports Our Community

The PTA creates opportunities that enrich every layer of school life—welcoming new families, supporting teachers, organizing celebrations like the Fun Run and Bingo Night, and fostering friendships through volunteer projects. Their dedication ensures that everyone feels connected, valued, and empowered to participate.

We are deeply grateful for their leadership and generosity.

Parent Representatives

Parent Representatives are a vital part of the Academia Cotopaxi community. They help build a caring, connected, and collaborative environment by strengthening communication between families and the school.

Parent Representatives:

  • Foster communication between parents and school leadership
  • Share parent questions or concerns and gather feedback
  • Collaborate with school leaders to seek solutions
  • Encourage parent participation in school activities, divisional events, and grade-level initiatives

They also work alongside the Principal and faculty to design meaningful parent involvement opportunities, offering assistance, information, and friendship to all families.
