The Grade 7 students had the opportunity to partake in a field trip last week to the interactive science museum. We are fortunate to live in a city with valuable learning experiences outside of our school walls.
We are excited to welcome award-winning author Linda Sue Park to Academia Cotopaxi for three days of learning engagements for all students, this week Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
All Middle School students attended a presentation by Linda Sue Park on Monday, Grade 7 will have a session devoted to the book A Long Walk to Water, and students had the opportunity to attend an optional writing workshop after school on Tuesday.
Parents are invited to meet Linda Sue Park by attending a presentation in the auditorium at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, followed by a light reception in the library.
This is an exciting week for literacy!
I am away this week, attending our school’s regional conference in Chile. I will also be conducting a workshop about our Middle School schedule and how we use FLEX time. I look forward to sharing my learning with the community upon my return!
Tuesday, April 9, is a professional development afternoon for faculty and a half day for students. All MS students depart campus at noon.
With kind regards,
