MS Aug 20

We are all thrilled to begin the 2019-20 school year! Teachers and administrators have spent much time preparing for this week, and now it is here! We are all ready to welcome you and your family to the Middle School. Even though this week is only four days, it will be a full week, and your children will need extra rest and care to process everything they learn each day. We intentionally start the year with a regular school schedule, to establish routines and provide support to all students.

A few reminders:
You may find the MS Handbook and Dress Code here on the AC website.

MS students are not allowed to use their cell phones during the school day (unless needed for a class activity). If you need to contact your child, please call the MS Office and we will get the message to your child.

Counselor’s Corner
Ms. Aubrey is here to welcome you to another exciting year in the AC Middle School! If I have not met you yet, I hope that I am able to introduce myself to you soon. You will notice throughout the year in this "Counselor’s Corner" that I will post information in regards to what we’re learning about in Cougar Time (the Social-Emotional lessons we have here in the Middle School), dates for upcoming Parent Workshops, as well as useful articles for parents of middle schoolers. As we start another school year, it’s helpful to set up routines and ways in which you can best connect with your middle school student. Instead of asking “How was school today?” take a look at this article to explore some new ways to create meaningful conversations: 15 Questions to Replace “How was school today?”
