It has been a true joy to walk around the Middle School and see our teachers practicing the art and science of teaching. MS classrooms are welcoming places where students feel supported and like they matter. This is the very foundation of learning - without this type of atmosphere in the classroom, your children will not realise their full potential. We are incredibly fortunate to have this team of world class educators.

Discover Ecuador

We are looking forward to Discover Ecuador departures on Monday, September 11! Students will go to their mentor classes at 8:00 a.m. and depart from there. Students may use their regular mode of transportation to get to school on Monday. Please help your child ensure that s/he has EVERYTHING on the packing list. If you have difficulty finding any of the items, please call the MS Office and we will help you with shopping locations. All trips return by 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Your children will be very excited to see you and share stories of a wonderful week!

Students Staying After School

Please note we will be asking all MS students to leave campus directly after school unless they are staying for an AC activity (MS activities or athletics). Students in an AC sponsored activity may ride the 4:15 p.m. bus, all others should use their regular means of transportation directly after school.

Student Absences

If your child will miss two or more days of school, for any reason, s/he must obtain a Pre-Arranged Absence form from the MS Office. The student takes this form to all teachers to discuss homework obligations, and then the form is signed by the MS Principal. Additionally, parents should call the MS Office in as far advance as possible to report these types of absences.

Thank you.

Upcoming MS Events:

  • September 5: MS Volleyball begins
  • September 7: Back to School Night (mingling at 5:30 p.m., presentation begins promptly at 6:00 p.m.)
  • September 11 - 15: Discover Ecuador

I look forward to seeing you on Thursday at Back to School Night.

With kind regards,

Sheryl Gruber
