Thank you to everyone who filled in the Conference Feedback form. Of the forty-one parent responses, 66% of you prefer the format where we have parents sign up for times, and the conferences are in teacher classrooms. We will be using this data, as well as all of the thoughtful comments, to refine our third quarter conference plan.
We are looking forward to much musical entertainment next week! The Band and Orchestra Concert is on November 13 at 6:00pm and the Piano and Choir Concert is on November 15 at 6:00pm. Both shows are open to all AC families!
Counselor’s Corner - from Aubrey
This week in Cougar Time we begin our unit on Understanding Bullying. We’ll be going through how bullying is defined and what it looks like in all its forms. Later in the month students will explore the difference between bystanders and upstanders and how they can take action and come up with their own solutions to prevent and respond to bullying. The counselors (including myself) will be providing a parent workshop during the PTSA meeting this week to share ways in which you can help your child become an Upstander. Come join us in the library Thursday, November 8th at 2:00pm.
A reminder that Monday, November 12, is a half day for students, and a professional development afternoon for faculty. All students leave campus at noon.
With kind regards,
