Extended Learning

At Academia Cotopaxi, learning continues beyond the school day through exploration, creativity, and connection. Our Extended Learning Program gives students meaningful opportunities to step outside their comfort zones, follow their interests, and develop new skills that shape who they are as individuals and community members.

This extracurricular program reflects our commitment to holistic education. We nurture not only academic growth, but also creativity, leadership, well-being, and social responsibility. Through sports, arts, music, leadership and service, and academic enrichment, students discover passions, build confidence, and strengthen their sense of belonging. These experiences help learners grow into empowered individuals who lead with empathy, integrity, and global citizenship.

The Arts and Music Program empowers students to explore imagination and express individuality through diverse creative experiences. From visual arts and theater to musical classes, students develop confidence, discipline, and emotional awareness. These spaces invite learners to tell their stories, celebrate diversity, and connect through shared artistic expression—nurturing creativity as a lifelong skill and source of joy.

Leadership and Service

Through leadership and service activities, students discover the power of making a positive impact in their community. Whether through sustainability projects, gardening, or creative reuse initiatives, they learn that leadership begins with empathy and responsibility. These experiences encourage initiative, collaboration, and meaningful engagement with local and global issues, cultivating civic awareness and a strong sense of purpose.

Academic Enrichment

Our academic enrichment opportunities challenge students to think critically, innovate, and explore new ideas beyond traditional subjects. From language acquisition to STEM projects and design thinking experiences, students are encouraged to ask questions, experiment, and grow as independent learners. These activities foster curiosity, problem-solving, and global-mindedness for success in an interconnected world.
