At Academia Cotopaxi it is our mission that students become principled, skillful and appreciative contributors to the world. Students across all divisions participate in service to empower them to discuss and tackle the economic, environmental, political, and social issues that face the world. We engage learners to address real world problems and provide opportunities for them to take ownership and responsibility for improving our natural, built, and social environment. We want our students to reflect on the impact of their actions on their community and the world. 

Our program has both a service and a service learning component. Beginning in Elementary School, students are exposed to service opportunities through inspiration projects and exhibitions of learning. In Middle School and High School, service is a curriculum requirement through the development of self-initiated projects. All divisions participate in Discover Ecuador, which is our experiential service learning and team building program. Students are off campus exploring curricular connections and supporting our surrounding community.
