The study of the arts encourages the development of aesthetic appreciation and perception, creative expression, self-discipline, confidence, and self-esteem and inspires students to express themselves using a wide range of mediums. Art instruction also helps students with the development of motor skills, language skills, social skills, decision-making, risk-taking, and inventiveness. Beginning in preschool and continuing through grade 8, students receive weekly instruction in art. Students with an avid interest in the visual arts may continue in high school with art electives and selecting the IB Visual Art course.  These courses challenge students to fine tune their skills as artists while understanding the theoretical foundations of art. Several art exhibitions from all grade levels are held throughout the year showcasing the uniqueness of each student.
