Cotopaxi Strikes Gold & Silver at CAISSA Volleyball Tournament! 

Academia Cotopaxi Cougar Varsity Boys Volleyball claimed gold in the CAISSA Volleyball Tournament in Caracas this past weekend, defeating the Carol Morgan School of the Dominican Republic in three sets and winning the first CAISSA championship in an away tournament for Academia Cotopaxi in any sport.  The Lady Cougars lost a heartbreaker five set battle to finish second to the tournament hosts, Escuela Campo Alegre.  Senior Cougar Boys Andrew Edwards and Juan Hidalgo were selected to the Boys Volleyball All-Tournament Team, and senior Lady Cougar Valeria Lobato was selected to the Girls Volleyball All-Tournament Team.  Congratulations to Coach Corey Kydd and the Cougar Boys for their gold medal performance, and to Coach Martin Kane and the Lady Cougars for their silver medal finish.

Cotopaxi in Riobamba to Celebrate Fiscal School’s Anniversary

Academia Cotopaxi was invited to celebrate the 39th Anniversary of Colegio Experimental Capitán Edmundo Chiriboga. Dr. Bill Johnston, represented our school, addressing the audience at a special ceremony along with Riobamba’s Mayor, Governor, and representatives from the Ministry of Education and Armed Forces. Academia Cotopaxi High School Drama students will perform “The 39 Steps” on Thursday, November 19th, and Friday, November 20th, at 7:00 P.M.
