At Academia Cotopaxi, our academic program is designed to be both rigorous and deeply personal, shaped around each student’s needs, passions, and future goals. As one of the first IB World Schools in the region and accredited by NEASC, we combine globally recognized standards with individualized instruction that helps every learner thrive.

From the earliest years, students experience transdisciplinary, inquiry-based learning that builds strong foundations, creativity, and confidence, while nurturing agency, reflection, and real-world action. In Middle School, an IB-aligned curriculum meets students at a crucial stage of growth, emphasizing critical thinking, student voice, and supportive mentorship so they can explore identity, develop independence, and discover what excites them as learners and leaders.

High School brings these skills to full expression through challenging academics and meaningful experiences beyond the classroom. Students follow personalized diploma pathways—U.S., Ecuadorian, and/or the IB Diploma—while engaging in CAS, the Extended Essay, Discover Ecuador, and student-led leadership opportunities that prepare them for university and life with purpose.
